While our mission is large in scope and ambition, in its definition it is a simple one: we want to bridge the knowledge and intelligence gaps in the capital markets, ushering in a new paradigm in investment intelligence where it’s easy for investors to discover new opportunities. While technology is the backbone of how we plan to execute on our mission, partnering with the world’s leading financial platforms is no less important, and today we have another huge partner to announce.
Today we are announcing that we have formed a strategic partnership with Rakuten Securities to bring Bridgewise AI-driven investment intelligence to all 11 million Rakuten Securities customers. This is a critical step in our global expansion plans and another milestone for us in Japan specifically. Rakuten Securities is one of the largest providers of brokerage services in Japan, and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with them to serve their customers.
A critical component of the partnership is the shared value between the two companies to provide cutting edge solutions for customers and leveraging technology, including AI, to deliver new experiences and capabilities to the market.
Additionally, from the very beginnings at Bridgewise we have been committed to serving a global market with solutions tailored to face the challenges of users across the globe. Our worldwide expansion, and growth in Japan specifically, is fueled by our global-first mindset and by the language capabilities of our platform. This enables us to deliver AI-driven investment intelligence in the language of the user’s choice, and from other languages in diverse markets. Breaking down these language barriers is a critical component of bridging the knowledge gap that has been a challenge in the capital markets.
Language and other global barriers have led to a situation in which only a minority, some 20%, of global securities, are covered by financial analysts. This issue is keenly felt in countries like Japan, and our platform is uniquely positioned to serve investors in these markets.
Regarding the partnership with Rakuten, Kelvin Phua, Bridgewise General Manager for APAC, said, “We are extremely pleased to mark our second milestone in Japan with this partnership with Rakuten Securities. As a financial brokerage platform known for its dedication to provide innovative solutions that cater to its customers’ financial well-being, we are proud to partner with Rakuten Securities and to present our AI-powered financial analysis to its customers. We look forward to empowering more Japanese investors to make informed decisions across a more diverse and increasingly-global investment landscape.”
